2006 in Review
I am not a resolution-maker because I suffer from ADHD. Oh my goodness! A closer read of the article does suggest that I exhibit most symptoms! Anyways, trying to get back on track here - what has 2006 taught me ?
- NYTimes is boring: In the beginning, I would look forward to Sunday mornings - to read NYTimes. Now I find myself classifying it under "Same old crap - recycled"
- New Yorker is exciting: Why did I not find this earlier ? Wonderful writing.
- Entertaining site - isketch.net
- There are some CS folks who still use IE
- Best two player board game - Lost Cities
- Amex Wishlist is designed around the art of perseverance
- Spell check has eliminated my chances at spelling-bee
- I might forget Tamil. People only want to talk in English
- Anthony Bourdain rocks. Advised viewing one episode a day. Too much of a good thing can kill.
- Gaming nights - "best kept secret" for having fun
- Daniel Craig is the best bond.
- I love surprise birthday parties. Especially when organized by my husband.
- Sea otters personify the epitome of carefree childhood (courtesy: visit to Georgia aquarium)
- Vegas is great, for 3 days only.
- I don't miss the snow. Prefer green Christmas.
- Enjoy swimming enough to want to be born as a dolphin
- Writing is a pleasure; whether for pleasure or research
- Still cannot follow American football
- My husband is crazy enough to wake up at 4am to watch a cricket match
- As I grow older, I find it more difficult to read fiction; I hope to get through this phase soon.
